Discipline is not a problem once I begin working. Discipline is more of a problem when I am trying to persuade myself to begin work. There is something out of proportion, or different in kind, about writing, something that does not relate or connect very well to the activities of the rest of one's day. Writing is often hard to go to - but then just as hard to come way from. Once I stop work, the rest of life seems - as it did not before I started to work-relatively uninteresting. Though not always.
